REPORT ON STAKEHOLDER MEETING ON THE POINT MASS DISTRIBUTION OF LONG LASTING INSECTICDE BEDNETS (LLINs)
INTRODUCTION:
The Health Directorate in Akatsi South Municipality had a stakeholders meeting on the point mass distribution of long lasting insecticide bednets (LLINs) on Thursday, 21st October, 2021 at Municipal Assembly Hall. The registration for the 2021 LLINs in the Region will be carried out from 22-28 October, 2021, using the house to house strategy.
OBJECTIVE:
The campaign aims to register at least 90% of all households in targeted Regions and to distribute LLINs to at least 90% of all registered households. A household is defined as the number of people living who eat from the same “pot” and recognize one person as their head. All households will have to register to benefit from the distribution of nets. The Channels for social mobilization includes:

CONCLUSION:
The Akatsi South Municipal Health directorate will continue to cooperate with stakeholder’s to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of registration and distribution of the bednets.
